Planer Cutterhead

For use on shapers and moulders with mechanical feed. For planing solid material using 3mm thick HSS or TCT planer knives.

Stackable Insert Planing/Jointing Cutter - Series 4045

This cutter can be used inidvidually or pinned together to give a continuous planing edge from 20mm & up, depending on spindle length.  An optional side tool is available to carry out pre-straightening on the right side, allowing perfect positioning of work piece before the first vertical spindle on many moulders.  This tool is not recommended for finish cuts.

Spiral Insert Planer Cutterhead - Series 4043

Designed for planing solid material on a copy shaper, planer or moulder.  Produces a line-free finish.  The helical design provides an aggressive cutting action and fast chip removal.  Also reduces noise and power consumption.  Cutterbody is manufactured from high quality light metal alloy.

Insert Rebate Cutterhead - Series 4030

Specially suitable for producing rebates and joints with excellent finish on chipboard, plywood, MDF, compressed boards as well as softwoods, hardwoods and exotic woods with or without glue lines.  Cutter features 2 spurs on top and bottom, providing chip-free cuts.

D=100mm  7,800-13,300

D=125mm  6,200-10,600

This helical insert cutterhead is designed for planing solid material on moulders.  The helical design produces an aggressive cutting action with reduced noise and power consumption.  Cutter body is aluminum.  Inserts are ground with radii corners for a line-free finish.

Recommended RPM: 

D=125mm  10,000 max

D=140mm   9,000 max

Helical Insert Cutter - Series 4140

Same application as Series 4040 above, except tool supplied with standard square edge replacement inserts for roughing more economically.  Tools is not suitable for a finish cut because depending on wood species, lines may be clearly visible.
